Team Spiring

Assembled to participate in the Manitoba 2 Person Stick Curling circles, Team Spiring has played in many bonspiels across the province as well the Manitoba Provincial Stick Championship since 2017 and the Canadian Stick Curling Championship since 2018.

Team Spiring includes Britta Spiring, Fred Spiring and Charlie Spiring.

Team Spiring

2023-24

Team Spiring had another great start at the Canadian Stick Curling Championships at the Leaside CC in Toronto, but failed to qualify for the Championship round finishing with 4 wins and 3 losses.

Team Spiring participated in the 126th Anniversary of the Morris Curling Club, Morris, Manitoba.

Team Spiring qualified for the Championship round in the MB 55+ Games event in Brandon, losing in the final to claim the Silver medal.

Britta Spiring and Terri Beaudoin qualified for the Championship round in the MB Women's Championship by going undefeated in round robin play, ultimately losing the Bronze medal game.

In the first bonspiel of 2024, Team Spiring qualified for the "Money Round" at the Stonewall 2 Person Stick bonspiel but lost their Quarter Final game.

Team Spiring participated in the Red River International Bonspiel in Morris, Manitoba, qualifying for the Championship Round.

Team Spiring won the inaugural Spring into Summer event held in Morris Manitoba. Team Spiring defeated 2022 Canadian Stick Champions Resby Coutts and Norm Magnusson in the semi final and followed up with a win against Lorne Hamblin and Ghislaine Dupuis.

2022-23

Team Spiring had a great start at the Canadian Stick Curling Championships in Nanaimo, but failed to qualify for the Championship round after a significant fall resulting in a default.

Team Spiring participated in the 125th Anniversary of the Morris Curling Club, Morris, Manitoba. Team Spiring went undefeated through the event.

Team Spiring qualified for the Championship round in Warren's 2 Person Stick March Bonspiel. Team Spiring swept the Championship round defeating Bev Shick and Ross MacMillan in the Final.

In the first bonspiel of 2023, Team Spiring qualified for the "Money Round" at the Stonewall 2 Person Stick bonspiel and finished by winning their seeded Final.

For the second consecutive week, Team Spiring qualified for the Championship round in a 2 Person Stick Bonspiel. Team Spiring ended their run in the Warren Open with a loss in a final to Don Fischer and Grant Nicholson.

Team Spiring qualified for the Championship round at the Swan River Open and ended their run with a loss to home town Team Cotton.

Team Spiring participated in the inaugural Red River International Bonspiel in Morris, Manitoba, losing a tie breaker to qualify for the Championship Round.

A reluctant participant in the opening 2 Person Stick Bonspiel of the year, saw Team Spiring qualify for the "money round" and ultimately losing in the final to the current Canadian 2 Person Stick Champions Resby Coutts and Norm Magnusson.

2021-22

Team Spiring participated in the 2022 Canadian Two Person Stick Championships in Moncton April 21-25, losing a tie breaker to qualify for the Championship round.

Team Spiring participated in the Manitoba Provincial Two Person Stick Championships in Winnipeg, Manitoba, qualifying for the Championship round.
